Kaori Seki’s first attempt at an ambitious adaptation of the well-known opera “The Cunning Little Vixen” composed by Leoš Janáček. The entire work delineated its theme of the reincarnation of all living things, including humans, animals, and plants, through a light green gauze curtain reminiscent of a forest, with only the slightest sounds and movements. For this production, Seki’s unique form of physical expression was accompanied by a vocal element. The principal dancers were Shiki Kitamura, Kozue Takamiya, Masataka Uchiumi, and Satoshi Kurashima, with Mae Hayashi as guest soprano. It featured lighting by Ayumi Kito, sound by Masahide Ando, and costumes by Rie Usui.
