【Komatsuza Co.,Ltd】
In 1983 writer/playwright Hisashi Inoue founded the Komatsuza Co. Ltd., which launched its first production “Zu-Tsu Kata-kori Higuchi Ichiyo” the following year. Since then, the company has continued to specialize in productions related to Hisashi Inoue.
Among its many awards, major prizes of recent years include the Excellent Work Award in the 2003 Yomiuri Theater Awards for “Taiko – Tataite Fue – Fuite”; the 2010 Yomiuri Theater Awards Honor Award in the performing arts for Hisashi Inoue himself; the 2012 Kinokuniya Theatre Awards group prize for “Hisashi Inoue 77th Birthday Festival 2012”; and the Excellent Work Award in the 2016 Yomiuri Theater Awards for “Manzana waga machi.”
