The 100th Anniversary of Ikuma Dan's Gaze
“Lieder Night” concert series began in 2022 with the aim of spreading the enjoyment and culture of listening to lieder music to a wide audience.
Each concert features a variety of songs, regardless of language or composer, based on a unique theme.The series aims to offer performances that can be enjoyed by everyone by incorporating subtitles, explanatory talks by composers, lighting, and acting.
In addition to these performances that shed light on rarely performed songs, the group plans to hold outreach events and master classes in various locations to bring the enjoyment of songs closer to the audience.The group aims to create a sustainable system of “performing, listening, and learning” for young performers and audiences.
Okawara Takuya
Graduated from Kunitachi College of Music, Department of Performance and Creative Writing, Voice Specialization and Song Soloist Course.Performed in the graduation concert.Completed the master’s course in vocal music at the Graduate School of Music, Kunitachi College of Music.Attended the German Lieder Master Class given by prof. Mitsuko Shirai.
performed the roles of Leporello and Masetto in “Don Giovanni,” the Poet in “The Italian Turk,” among others. In 2022, appeared as an assistant actor in Fujisawa Civic Opera “Nabucco,” and in 2023 and 2024, participated in the Tokyo Spring Music Festival “Italian Opera Academy” as a member of the Tokyo Opera Singers.Performed at the 57th Takasaki New Artists Concert.Studied under Hiroshi Kuroda and TakekoNagashima.
From July 2022, has been involved in concert series “Lieder Night” as a planner and performer.
