juhla festival is a music festival held in the extraordinary setting of temples amidst the bustling city. The Garden stage, located in the main hall of Yogenji Temple, features a grand piano and presents a lineup that includes not only Japanese artists but also invited performers from Finland and other parts of Northern Europe. The festival takes place every autumn.
Two additional stages are set up at Kogenji Temple, hosting live performances, DJs, and live podcast broadcasts. Alongside the music, the festival also features the Tera no Oto Marche, with around 20 stores offering merchandise and food.
The aim is to create a celebration of music, blending the joy of performances with the serene atmosphere of the temple.

-A festival of music in silence at an extraordinary temple in the midst of Tokyo- JUHLA FESTIVAL by LiL is a music festival that has been held since the same year as Juhla tokyo opened (CD, record store dealing with those from Finland, Estonia and famous domestic artists). It has been held at least once a year since 2018 including the COVID-19 pandemic.
The main stage is set up in the main hall of Yogenji Temple with grand piano, and a market (marche) consisting of local stores, individuals, and Scandinavian-related vendors is held simultaneously in the precincts.
Even though it’s a music festival, it has been planned and produced with a sense of stillness. In the heart of Tokyo, we want to offer a music experience that is different from ordinary music festivals.
