As implied by the positioning of its streamed stage performances as “Theater Cinema,” emochi has experimented with developing works through improving the quality of filmed performances as well as physically staging works in theaters. Now it has been able to take on a new creative challenge by reworking an existing play, “hotel amour.”

Launched in February 2022 as a solo project by Keisuke Kamiya, a member of skit group TENNIS COURT, emochi is a two-kanji-character word referring to the expression “pie in the sky” (literally “painted mochi rice cakes” in Japanese).
