  • Organization : Tachikawa Theatre Project Executive Committee
  • Section : None

Outline

The series “Stage for children and adults to enjoy together” is held every year during the Christmas season, performing stories loved by people of all ages and featuring a production style that brings audiences together as one. This year marks the eighth performance in the series.
This stage work is based on the picture book “I am a present,” and tells the story of a bear who was born as a gift in “Polka Dot Land,” a world both distant and close, and existing in a slightly different dimension. The story recounts how the bear becomes a gift with real feelings.
In addition to a live performance by percussionist Genichiro Furukawa, the performance included a scene where the audience took part by waving polka dot patterned ribbons, a participatory theater experience that delighted a wide range of audience members from babies to seniors.

Original picture book: maymay titi/KITORI
