We will plan and execute the “Gyorgy Ligeti 100th Anniversary Lecture & Concert”, which will consist of four lectures and concerts, over a three-year span from 2023, the 100th anniversary of Ligeti’s birth, to 2026, the 20th anniversary of his death.
Each event will have a Ligeti-related theme, and will be planned from both the lecture and concert aspects. Among the major contemporary composers, Ligeti’s music is one that combines expertise and popularity, and the purpose of this activity is to widely convey the message of this composer who survived war and turmoil to the next generation.
