HoriPro.Inc plans, produces, and stages a wide variety of theatrical performances, including plays and musicals. They have organized numerous overseas performances of productions directed by the late Yukio Ninagawa, which have received high acclaim in cities such as New York and London. In addition to presenting popular domestic productions—such as the annual summer staple Broadway musical Peter Pan—they have recently brought large-scale international musicals to Japan, including Billy Elliot the Musical and Mary Poppins. They also made possible the Asian premiere of the globally acclaimed stage production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Their original production Death Note the Musical, planned and produced in-house and also performed in South Korea, marks Horipro’s first licensed work for overseas markets.
