In cooperation with the local community, the festival started in 2019 as a music festival that enhances the appeal of the park and the city and is worthy of the international city of Tokyo. This year marks the seventh year, and the festival has now become established as a seasonal event in early summer.
Many visitors were expected this year as well, but the first day on Saturday, May 31st was hit by rain, with only 37,000 people attending. However, the following day, Sunday, June 1st, was blessed with good weather, and the number of visitors on one day reached a record high of 108,000, and the total number of visitors over the two days was 145,000, making the festival a huge success. As in previous years, the festival was also streamed online live and on-demand, delivering the charm of the Hibiya Music Festival to people all over Japan and the world.
