TV MAN UNION (TVU) was established in 1970 , first TV program production company in Japan. While producing regular programs such as “Discovery of the World’s Mysteries” and as well as numerous music programs such as documentaries on Karajan, Takashi Asahina, and Seiji Ozawa etc. With the experience gained through the production of these programs, TVU had in charge of planning and production of the opening series of Suntory Hall in 1986, and of performances organized by Casals Hall for more than ten years from 1987.
Based on the free thinking that only a production company can provide, TVU have been involved in regular planning, inviting overseas performers, artist management, performance management, and performance production, as well as opera DVD and making-of
production, and ceremonial music production (Nagano Winter Olympics in 1998, Akita World Games in 2001, and National Tree-Planting Festival in 2003). and the 2003 National Tree Planting Festival).
