A research facility established as a new project by dramaturg Kaku Nagashima, who has been involved in a variety of stage works and art projects. In a time when the number of art projects is rapidly increasing, his “How-To-Make Laboratory” is meant to be a careful, unhurried look into “ways of making” in cross and mixed genres whose possibilities are not covered by existing methodologies.

This project will recruit young researchers who can work together with experts to produce an art project under the theme of “giving reality to “Someone’s Dream.” Along with performances outside of a theater, it will look into methods of documenting and archiving.

Expert Researchers
Kaku Nagashima (Dramaturg), Shigeki Nakano (Director), Eimi Ozawa (Writer), Takaki Sudo (Video Engineer), Kazue Kawase (Photographer), Shinya Satoh (Architect), others
