Senju Music Hall vol.3
Sun Roser "Fantastic Main Street Song Show"

Genre:
  • Music ,
  • Art Project ,
  • Performance ,
  • Lecture / Symposium

The third in the “Senju Music Hall” series of shows in Tokyo’s Senju district, a mere 50 steps from the east exit of Kita Senju station, one of Tokyo’s main northern gateways. The Sun Roser coffee shop is a large space redolent of the 1960s and 70s, a perfect setting for an event titled “Music Show” with talk and some good old songs.

Event Outline

The Happy Tabla Bongo Company is a fascinating percussion band mixing song and rhythm. Performing with them will be ASA-CHANG, who for the 2012 Connecting through Sound Art program formed the ASA-CHANG & Otomachi Children’s Paradise Orchestra, performing at the Adachi City A-Festa2012 with a large number of preschool children.
Journalist/photographer Kyoichi Tsuzuki will also rediscover parts of Senju in a talk that takes up many of the “energy points” he has found in Adachi for his book “The Right Side of Tokyo.”
And if that is not enough, the event will see the return of “enka” singer and Adachi resident Miki Midori, a feature performer in the 2012 “Musicircus.”
So come, sit back, and enjoy this “Fantastic Main Street Song Show.”
