Like a cloud, like a wave, like a mountain: the resonance of nature and the human body

Blanca Li Dance Company has been invited from France to perform its work “Solstice” at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre’s Playhouse. Internationally-active choreographer Li is Spanish-born and Paris-based. Her dance provides a beautiful spectacle brimming with primal power, and reflects her Latin temperament and adoration for the sun. Together with wild, uninhibited percussion, the dancers’ powerful body movements and clapping shake the theater. Audiences will love Li’s richly-imaginative world, and the simple and dynamic dancing that reaches for the expanse of the cosmos.
