Enjoy the fresh green leaves and Tokyo tradition!

Less than an hour’s train ride from the Tokyo city center, Mount Takao (Takao-san) is a well-loved spot for viewing fresh green leaves. At the foot of this mountain, Shishimai (Lion Dance), in which the lions may “bite” people on the head to bring good luck, Kasa-Mawashi (umbrella spinning) and other Kyokugei (traditional Japanese acrobatics) will be staged when the autumn leaves are at their best. Also Edo Woodblock Prints workshops will be offered and participants can handmake goods using woodblock print techniques.
