This program aimed at adults aged 18 and over who have little opportunity of contact with traditional culture and performing arts on a daily base introduces the appeal of traditional culture and performing arts from different angles by integrating lectures, performances and hands-on experiences of various genres of traditional culture and performing arts.

Koto: Enjoy the delicate and impressive sound of the koto, and then try your hand at playing in a small ensemble
Ikebana: Experience and familiarize yourself with the art of flower-arranging Japanese style
Shamisen: Learn how to hold the instrument correctly and use a “bachi”plectrum to pluck the strings and enjoy the shamisen’s dynamic sound
(Participants can enjoy hands-on experiences in all three genres)
