After completing their training with leading performing artists, children will present a public performance. Authentic professional performances by instructors will also be featured

In“Traditional Performing Arts for Kids,”children learn about traditional culture by experiencing the real thing. About 300 children have trained in Japanese cultural arts over several months, and they will present the results of their work in an authentic way on stage where tradition lives and breathes.
With the children’s serious expressions, powerful professional performances and accessible commentary, these public performances have received praise for being informative as well as great fun.

Sankyoku/Nihon Buyo II
Date and Time: Friday, March 28, 2025, 15:30-18:30 (Doors open at 15:00)
Venue: Asakusa Public Hall

*Admission free (reservation required)/Preschool-age children admitted /Entering and leaving the venue during the event is permitted

Application deadline
Noh: Thursday, March 13, 2025(Capacity: Approx. 100)                 
Nagauta/Nihon Buyo I and Sankyoku/Nihon Buyo II: Thursday, March 20, 2025(Capacity: Approx. 150 for each program)

*Advance application on a first-come, first-served basis. Closes as soon as capacity is reached. 
*Applying for more than one venue is permitted (Up to 5 people per application per application).
*Information about reception etc. on the day will be sent to all applicants via e-mail on Friday, March 14 for ① the Noh performance, and on Friday, March 21 for ② the Nagauta/Nihon Buyo I performance and ③ the Sankyoku/Nihon Buyo II performance.
*Performance times, programs, performers, etc. are subject to change.
*Preschool-age children are admitted. However, exiting may be requested if there is a disturbance.
*Information on same-day tickets will be available on the official website closer to the performance dates.
*Please contact the office in advance if you wish to attend performances in a group.
