The Shioiri Tower was built in Shioiri Park (Arakawa City) as part of the project “Tadashi Kawamata: Tokyo in Progress – a View from the Sumida River”, which ran from 2010 through 2013. Inspired by the community’s calls to keep the Shioiri Tower in place, the Shioiri Tower Program offers workshops and lectures that unite artists and local residents.
