This program supports the continued creative work of young artists who find it difficult to secure studios and other workspace by providing properties at affordable rates. In April 2023 we opened START Box SasaHataHatsu which utilizes unused/vacant municipal properties along the waterways of Shibuya City; and in November START Box Odaiba opened, a creative space utilizing an unused/vacant public housing property in Odaiba. We also hold open studios and show works by artists at cultural events to promote interaction between the artists using START Box properties and local residents.
