Eleven teams affiliated with the festival music preservation society (among them four teams with a children’s troupe) will gather en masse to present the townspeople with performances and programs of matsuri bayashi festival music handed down over many years in the area. The event is an opportunity to deepen the understanding of efforts to pass down these traditional arts, and for each team it is a way of improving their skills so they can hand on the traditions to the next generation.
From 1pm there will be speeches by organizers and guests, and from 1.30pm each hayashi ensemble will give a performance. Performances are scheduled to end at around 6pm.
