From the smallest expressive elements of day-to-day human life to art projects that decorate the contours of everyday scenery, “Life and Representation” focuses on capturing the realities of the monozukuri (manufacturing) world and the expressions of kotozukuri (“story creation”) that are difficult to render in tangible, concrete forms. The program launched in 2015 with projects in Taito-ku, Tokyo, and will continue to explore the essence of its core goals through a series of occasional events.
