Outline

Under the theme of Traditions and techniques, beauty, this performance shows the combination of Noh, Japanese dance, contemporary dance, along with Japanese instruments, western musical instruments, incorporating the Hanaike, repertoire and tells the new Japan’s charm. In this performance, through the new attempt of hitting the confliction elements like “static and dynamic”, we would deliver the basic value and beauty of Japan’s culture.

【Saburo Mochizuki Hougaku-Hayashikata】
Founded Tokyo’s first professional Taiko group “Sukeroku Taiko” in 1966. Performed in 3 major cities in the U.S. in 1960’ and it became the first stage of US drum boom. Getting Started in 1968 Kabuki musicians Mochizuki flow. After allowing the name of Mochizuki, belonging to the Kikugoro Onoe troupe, starring at National thereafter, NHK, etc. Also a part-time teacher at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
