Outline

Artist in Children’s House aims are to establish a pilot project that would implement an art program to address the various issues related to children’s after school hours, in collaboration with children, staff of Children’s House, organizing coordinators, and invited artists. We endeavor to improve the social skills and creativity of children through organized and planned art programs at Children’s House that: respond to how children play and spend time after school hours; offer artistic and creative activities; provide children with the opportunity to take a more active part in society.

Profile

Mikiko Endo
Architect Mikiko Endo lived in the Netherlands for four years where she studied after graduating from the Tokyo University of Arts. She also gave birth and raised her child there. In 2003, she established Office Mikiko. Her work focuses on making homes, stores, and spaces like museums where adults and children can enjoy.

Haruna Nakayama
Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1980. Ms Nakayama is engaged in Food Design as a lifework. Through Food Design, she designs food as a communication tool. Projects include making recipes that take advantage of the characteristics of local productions, designing products and packaging, and producing food education workshops.
