Outline

Music From Japan continued its Artist Residence program started in 2016 as new project. Japanese and American composers and music writers were invited for one week stay in New York City to take part in the lectures, forums and concerts for the participants from both countries to deepen mutual understanding and further their artistic dialog.

Profile

Music From Japan Support Committee
A voluntary organization established in Japan to promote the work of Music From Japan, Inc. (MFJ) based in New York City. MFJ has presented concerts of Japanese composers’ works including commissions and educational programs for over 40 years to the US and other parts of the world. Utilizing these experiences and network, MFJ and the Support Committee aim to create deeper and active cultural exchanges.
