Profile

Point de Vue
Point de Vue is a concert series of contemporary music produced by the Japanese composers Teruaki Suzuki and Tomohiro Moriyama. It has been held 12 times since 2007. The series is designed as an arena for contemporary composers to create works by finding a mutual viewpoint (Point de Vue) rooted in their own musical ideals and values, and as a forum for their perceptions and statements to intersect. Each time, composers are commissioned to create and premiere a new piece. The series also regularly features a special performance of a work by Japan’s pre-eminent composer Akira Miyoshi, with the aim of bringing his music to a wider audience.
