Hydrogen 74 Percent’s new work “Roman”
This is a performance of a new theatrical work from Hydrogen 74 Percent. The setting is a house in the suburbs shared by a mother, her son and daughter. The son and daughter are over thirty but still single and looking for life partners. Their mother has a lover and is planning to remarry. This work portrays the struggle of the family members as they try to find a companion for life. The main performers are Kumi Hyoudou, Mizuki Maehara, Momoi Shimada and Kousuke Asai. Set design by Nagatake Hakamada, lighting by Hisataka Yamaguchi and sound by Nobu Ikeda.

Hydrogen 74 Percent
Launched in October 2010 by troupe leader Keisuke Tagawa, Hydrogen 74 Percent is a theatrical production unit without regular company members. The first work the company performed, “Mysterious Sphere X,” was selected for the Mitaka Next Selection 12th. “Who” garnered a prize at the 15th Playwrights Association Rookie Drama Award.
The troupe’s works depict selfish characters and the relationships of selfish characters who attempt to make others live according to what they think, in the belief that one person’s standards are common to every human being.
