Japanese producers were dispatched to the Asian Producers’ Platform (APP) Camp in Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangzhou, a gathering of producers from Japan, Korea, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia. The aims of the APP Camp program are 1) to build an Asian network 2) to explore the role of the producer in terms of creative activity 3) the promotion of intercultural activities 4) the development of leadership in artistic activities and 5) to guarantee regionalism and promote understanding. The event included various forums, symposiums given by performing arts specialists active on the cultural scene of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and group research involving visits to local art centers and artists. Dispatching producers from Japan provided a basis for engaging in mutual exchange with other Asian producers through participation in the platform, and for future collaboration within the Asian region.

Open Network for Performing Arts Management
By building a national and international network and effectively maintaining it, with the individuals who work closely with society as presenters, producers or managers of performing arts to connect artists/artistic groups and the audience, we will try to define and raise the recognition towards the social role of contemporary performing arts and to advocate on cultural policies, aiming to contribute to the benefit of performing arts and society as a whole.
