Outline

Due to concerns over the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) and in consideration of the health and safety of participants and staff members, this program was canceled.

Co. Ruri Mito was scheduled to undertake a four-country tour of Europe with a production of “Sumika,” first staged in Tokyo in 2018, and Ruri Mito’s solo piece “Matou.” However, the tour has been cancelled as a preventive measure against coronavirus.

Co. Ruri Mito
Co. Ruri Mito is a dance company led by internationally active dancer and choreographer Ruri Mito. Since the company was established in 2017, Mito has aimed for a deep exploration of the unique characteristics of each individual body, taking her time to create high-quality work. In 2019, the company was awarded the “PLAY” special mention at SICF20 Spiral Independent Creators Festival. “Where we were born,” which premiered in 2020 at Theater Tram, won troupe leader Mito the Agency for Cultural Affairs (ACA) National Arts Festival New Artist Award.
