Profile

nagalu
A group established in 2022 by drummer and composer Shinya Fukumori which is providing a breath of fresh air to the current music scene in Japan and Asia.
Fukumori, who is making a name for himself with his professional activities in Germany, the United States, and other parts of the world, is himself producer for the group, which promotes a new form of music generated by the unique atmosphere of Japan and Asia. Under the motto “a rolling stone gathers no moss” (literally “flowing water does not stagnate” in Japanese), the group aims for music that, like water that flows without stagnating, transforms fading sounds into landscapes, and makes nostalgic musical landscapes feel like new encounters.
