Outline

Tsukuri – Tsukau exposition is a project in which four creators whose work involves “objects” including a puppeteer, a juggler, and a Monotsukai(object performer) put them on display, and gave a demonstration/performance using the exhibits. In addition to the exhibition and performance the event featured an online gallery based on documentary photographs and videos of the venue: this offered three mediums of expression, allowing visitors to select their own way of experiencing the event or have contact with the works in different ways, and giving them a multi-layered experience of the creators who create the objects and use the body.

Profile

NAGAI Nozomi × MEGURO Yosuke Project
A collaborative project between puppet artist/puppeteer NAGAI Nozomi and juggler/contemporary circus director MEGURO Yosuke. It takes as its starting point the exchange and sharing of ideas by people involved in the performing arts, a field where people have differing approaches to the handling of tools,
with the aim of exploring and developing stage arts that involve humans creating and manipulating objects. They conduct expressive activities unbound by conventional presentation formats for peer audiences. In 2019 the duo was selected in the TOKAS (Tokyo Arts and Space) “OPEN SITE 2019-2020”performance category.
