The Shimokitazawa Music Festival is a cross-generational event for everyone from kids to the elderly, under the concept of the “co-existence of intergenerational sounds.” This annual event unites not just locals but everyone visiting Shimokitazawa in music-driven affection for and rediscovery of this bohemian neighborhood.
Shimokitazawa is home to many live music clubs and concert halls. Organizers collaborated with shopping districts, neighborhood associations, schools, etc. so that everyone can think with pride of Shimokitazawa as their “hometown.”
