Soundscape for an imaginary stage work by composer, arranger and percussionist BUN Imai
A theatrically structured concert interweaving chamber music featuring multiple acoustic instruments such as Mandolin, Mandola, Bouzouki, Marimba, Flute, Clarinet, Accordion, Piano, Contrabass, Percussion and more, with dance, and stage design.

Profile

Bun Imai
Composer, arranger and percussionist born and raised in Tokyo, their journey with music of various genres began with early exposure to piano, composition, drums, and mandola at the early age. They engaged in the comprehensive study of classical percussion at Tokyo University of the Arts’ Faculty of Music, where they majored in percussion instruments. They began performing professionally while still at university; starting with the musical “The Cat that Lived a Million Times” (directed by I.Pint & A.Pollak), they have appeared in a multitude of stage works. Aside from this they are currently exploring a variety of activities including theatrical recordings for movies and dramas, and providing live support for numerous artists such as Umitaro Abe. They also continue to take on various challenges in their own creative projects.
