“71 highly chus + hacking and sharing body accounts” involved the reworking with local artists of multiple pieces of choreography previously created by Shikichi, as well as research for a new work.
Since Shikichi was in residence at the Berlin’s “GlogauAIR,” he conducted research for his “fire grafitti” series, street performance using fire, something which had proved difficult to research in Japan due to regulations. He then presented part of the series as an open studio performance with a live audience.
