TAKAIDO ART FES, a project which will officially launch in 2023, is an event designed to promote the local area and enable people to enjoy the Takaido neighborhood through contemporary art and other art forms.
In an initiative allowing anyone to easily access and enjoy contemporary art, seven contemporary artists will display their works at a total of five venues including stores/locations centered around Takaido Station on the Keio Inokashira Line (Alocasia, Kissa Mcavoy, STUDIO VISIT, snip, and Dairokuten-jinja Shrine). The seven artists comprise Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Takuro Tamayama, tomotosi, Futoshi Miyagi, Yuko Mohri, Atsushi Yamamoto, and Ryan Gander.

THE BLACK FENCE is a group of collectors of contemporary art and the organizer of TAKAIDO ART FES. The group has smoothly moved ahead with the planning, preparation, and operation of the event, aiming to apply a cultural approach to the Takaido area, and engage in activities to promote local development and strengthen friendship between event participants.
