Profile

Shintomiza kodomo kabuki no kai
Founded in 2007 for the purpose of performing children’s kabuki in Chuo-ku, an area of Tokyo with deep connections to kabuki. In conjunction with the Reitaisai festival held at local shrine Teppou-zu Inari shrine, the association holds kabuki performances by children living in the area or children who go to local schools.
By giving free performances utilizing local shrines and elementary schools in the tradition of community performances, the association aims to reach a wider audience, and pass down the culture rooted in the area.
