Outline

A participant-circulating performance featuring the koto. Participants experienced the process of making and performing traditional Japanese music instruments, and enjoyed the Japanese traditional music. This is the first project in which players and instrument makers, who are usually involved through their stores, will work together. After the performance they exchanged their lively opinions.

Cogumart
Cogumart is an art management team made up of student members of the general incorporated association Yanaka no Okatte. Aiming to function as a starting point for individual members to experiment with new forms of expression, Cogumart has so far organised projects that focus on the fascination of the daily practice, production activities and thinking behind the presentation of artworks in the traditional japanese house, the Denchu Hirakushi House and Atelier, and capture the “everyday life of aspring artists”. The project has been designed to capture the “everyday life of the aspring artists.
