Profile

Miyazaki Planning
Miyazaki Planning was founded in 2020 as the organization behind Muni, a troupe that performs theatrical works by playwrights/directors Rena Miyazaki and Yuumi Kurosawa. Focusing on the distortion that occurs when combining the fiction of a story with the phenomenon of the physical body that represents it, Miyazaki Planning produces theatrical works that encourage the audience’s imagination through its detailed depiction of the world. Along with perspectives on gender and sexuality, it attempts to innovate new forms of spoken Japanese.

Finalist in the Sengawa Theatre Competition. In the same competition, Rena Miyazaki, who wrote and directed Muni’s “Going through the forest of midday,” received the director’s award.
Received the HOPE award in Japan Midori No Yubi Performing Arts Award.
