A staging of a new work by Bushman, led by Ikumi Kurosu. With “1984” by George Orwell as its creative inspiration, the work uses the key concepts of a society under surveillance, falsification, and sexuality, to shed light on the “big brother is watching you” shadow cast over modern society.

LLC. AtZOO
AtZOO was established to manage the dance company Bushman. Spearheaded by Ikumi Kurosu, who won the JaDaFo Dance Award, AtZOO has created a highly original world view with a style that comes close to breaking point for the body and for physical strength. While based in the Kanto region, AtZOO performs all around Japan; it has also set its sights on overseas expansion, with a successful Korean production under its belt.
As a dance company leading the next generation, it aims to pursue the possibilities for contemporary dance pieces as works of art; and as a social organization, to pursue the potential for the social inclusion of people with disabilities and the elderly through workshops.
