We presented new possibilities for staging opera, “L’elisir d’amore”, in smaller theater than common size for opera. This opera is very popular in Japan and has been performed many times, however it’s rarely performed in its complete form. Most of the performances are in highlight styles, in which only famous tunes are picked up and chorus parts deleted. We tried to seek a new way of staging opera between complete form and incomplete(highlight) form.

Opera Pittoresca
―Small and colorful opera created by young artists―
We try to create operatic performances in small theaters with a small number of performers, in which music, acting, art, and lighting are closely intertwined. And we feature a wide variety of operas, from frequently performed ones to minor ones.
