Outline

A group exhibition by Rei Kuroda, Yuka Katayama, and Saki Watanabe, curated by Chikei Hara. The exhibition features paintings and installations by Katayama and Watanabe, as well as photographic/video works and an installation by Kuroda. The three also collaborated on a participatory installation for the show.

Profile

Rei Kuroda
Photographer and videographer born in Tokyo. Completed a Master’s degree at Tokyo University of the Arts. Studied abroad at University of Applied Arts Vienna. Won the Nikon Photo contest 2021 Grand prize (video). A KUMA FOUNDATION alumnus of the 6th year group, Kuroda’s work explores expressions themed around cycles and de-anthropocentrism/non-anthropocentrism to create magic realism-tinged narratives. Kuroda also engages in sound-based performance centered around photographs and video.
