As a ceramic artist, Takuro Kuwata has been attracting local and international attention. In the stone garden named “Heaven”— a serene monochrome space — with flower arrangements, presented Takuro’s works of which the colors are too bright to be convinced those are ceramic works at first glance. At “Heaven”, one of the masterpieces by Isamu Noguchi where Kuwata’s aesthetic sense and techniques cultivated from Japanese tradition and eagerness for innovation in representation encounter the vitality of the plants and flowers, a new and original spatial creativeness has come into existence.
