Outline

In a program that demonstrates the perfection of the pipe organ, a single organist, playing a single organ, will perform challenging classical works by Bach and orchestral scores usually performed by a 120-person orchestra, which have been specially arranged to make full use of this instrument’s distinctive ability to create an array of timbres through different combinations of its numerous pipes.

Profile

Prof. ERNST-ERICH STENDER
Germany’s top organist, professor at the Lübeck Academy of Music, and organist at St. Mary’s Church, Lübeck. He performs 60-70 concerts every year and has numerous recordings to his name.
