Solas de Vento "Men with Soles of Wind"

Genre:
  • Theater / Dance ,
  • Performance

The stage is an airport.
Two men, differing both in nationality and in the languages they speak, engage in an enigmatic exchange that takes place in mid-air.

Solas de Vento was formed in 2007 in San Paulo, Brazil by Brazilian Ricardo Rodrigues and Bruno Rudolf, from France. The theme of their aerial performance, which incorporates elements of contemporary dance, theater, and circus stunts, is “cultural diversity.”

A French passenger and a Brazilian passenger, both travelling alone, are stopped by an immigration officer at the airport. Unable to leave the airport and at a loss as to what to do, the two pull all manner of things out of their suitcases and begin creating their own personal spaces. At first these two men from different countries who speak different languages butt heads. Their relations soon change, though, as they share in the same difficulties…
