Sounds of Night Tour: New Year Festival in Tokyo

A New Year tour of sounds in the arts park of Ueno

This musical evening celebrates the New Year among the cultural facilities of Ueno. Musicians active in Japan and overseas have gathered to offer visitors an enjoyable evening of multi-venue mini concerts and after-hours museum-going.
The second outing for this event will take place in the stylish spaces of Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, National Museum of Nature and Science, The National Museum of Western Art and Tokyo National Museum, as well as the easy-to-access ticket hall of JR Ueno Station. From 16:00 to 20:00 in the evening visitors can move around Ueno, enjoying quality performances of famous classical pieces for free (some facilities may charge admission fees). Visitors are sure to enjoy this unique evening of art and music offered by Ueno’s arts park.
