For ten days this summer vacation, Shigemi Kitamura will lead a workshop for third, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders at IMA Hall. Basing the performance around the famous tale of the “Nutcracker,” Kitamura will also incorporate the unique, off-the-wall ways kids move and the many different things kids enjoy into the production. The end result? A once-in-a-lifetime dance experience for all.
Directed, choreographed, and staged by Shigemi Kitamura (choreographer/dancer)
