Public seminar: A study of the recording of sounds at art projects

Genre:
  • Music ,
  • Visual Art / Media Art ,
  • Art Project ,
  • Lecture / Symposium

Rather than focusing on the recording (sound/video recording) of music at concerts and in other settings, our study of the recording of sounds in art projects examines approaches to and techniques for the recording of sounds in the field at art projects, taking as its subject “Art Access Adachi: Downtown Senju – Connecting through Sound Art”, an art project that has been underway since last year. Can new value be created through the recording of sounds, something that goes beyond vicarious experience? With contributions from special guests, this seminar will look back at the research conducted in various ways over the last two years, as well as presenting the recordings from this year’s research topic, ‘Makoto Nomura Senju Pun-Filled Music Festival “1010 People in Senju”‘.
