“Around the UENO PARK with Music 2020” is a collective initiative of six cultural facilities in Ueno Park (Ueno Royal Museum, Tokyo National Museum, Sogakudo of the Former Tokyo Music School, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, National Museum of Nature and Science, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum) serving as venues for musical performances, with different programs that feature the Tokyo Music Competition winners.
At this event, visitors will go on what can be called a “Sound Tour” that takes them from a concert hall to a museum, from a museum to an art museum in a special type of concert where they can indulge themselves in culture while listening to live music. Three of the six venues will be utilized every day, filling Ueno Park with wonderful music.
A wide variety of musicians will be performing, including a flute trio, string quartet, wind quartet, soprano with bass and guitar, piano solo, and more. Visitors to Ueno Park can look forward to an extraordinary and unique experience.
