The images and animated segments of this work – the result of a collaboration with Dutch scientists – were created using a method unique to STEREOPTIK and are rich in a “handmade” feeling through the use of media such as shadow pictures and sand paintings. Images, video and performance developed using a variety of materials and devices may seem low-tech at first glance but have been crafted and refined with careful calculation. This performance invites the audience on a journey to a dreamlike world through outer space, from the earth and solar system to the galaxy beyond, by way of a romantic love story between earthly lovers. Audiences can expect a poetic world and performance full of surprise, created before their very eyes in the space of the theater.
