Min Tanaka "Yo! Don Quixote"

  • Theater / Dance ,
  • Performance

In December 2020, Min Tanaka, “an avant-garde who crawls on the earth,” will premier his new dance performance based on celebrated Don Quixote in Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre’s GEIGEKI dance series. In tandem with Seigow Matsuoka, a longtime comrade and collaborator in numerous radical projects both in the fields of intellect and physical expression, they set out for their destined wilderness of creation again. In this collaboration, the dancer and the editorial engineer—conscious bodies and contagious minds— will present a new ‘impossible dream’ in a theatrical setting, entitled Yo! Don Quixote. We look forward to sharing this deeply stimulating adventure with you at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Playhouse.

We will hold this performance after taking measures to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infectious diseases. Please be sure to check the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre’s precautions on the theater website when purchasing tickets. Please be advised that those who have a fever of 37.5℃ or higher or those who are not feeling well may be denied admission on the day of the performance.
