1. Freelancers (Part 1)
   Lecturer: Naruki Izawa
   This is a lecture in which participants acquire the basic knowledge of accounting and taxation that freelancers and sole proprietors need to know. In Part 1, we will explain the overall picture in terms of accounting and taxation. This includes topics such as what you need to do when you start working independently, when and why you need to file a final tax return, approaches to income and expenses, and the system by which tax amounts and insurance premiums are determined.
2. Freelancers (Part 2)
   Lecturer: Naruki Izawa
   Filing a final tax return is unavoidable when working as a freelancer. In Part 2, we explain the specific steps, from understanding and managing daily income and expenditure to preparing a final tax return. We also look at how to check income and expenses, understand the financial condition of a business or project, and create an action plan.
3. Withholding tax
   Lecturer: Yusuke Iizuka
   You might have struggled with the complexities of withholding tax when invoicing as a freelancer or paying a freelancer as a contractor. In this lecture we explain the withholding tax system, the relationship between tax payments and final tax returns, things that the contracted worker/contractor needs to be mindful of, and countermeasures against possible trouble.
