This course provides basic knowledge of accounting and taxation necessary for arts and culture-related projects and activities.
The 2024 program will provide basic knowledge such as the necessary procedures for working independently as a freelancer, how to go about preparing a final tax return, and the withholding tax system.
We hope this information helps participants understand the balance between the individual’s arts and culture-related activities and money, and helps them to continue their activities in a financially-sound and emotionally healthy manner.
Ideal for:
-Freelancers who want to acquire basic knowledge about managing daily income and expenditure and how to file final tax returns
-People who want to check the status of their income and expenses, understand the financial condition of their business/project, and make plans for the future
-People who want to know about the withholding tax collected on receipt of payment (income)
-People who want to know whether tax should be withheld at source when making payments as a project/business operator, and the procedure following withholding tax
