To support both the diverse creative activities that help to enhance Tokyo’s appeal as a city and the people involved in them, we offer grants to Tokyo-based artists and arts organizations to cover part of the cost of their activities.
Category I [Single Year] Creative activities
We provide support for performances, exhibitions, art projects, and other creative activities in Tokyo, as well as supporting international artistic exchange activities undertaken within Tokyo or overseas.
Category Ⅱ [Long Term] Creative activities
We encourage creative activities by supporting not only the presentation of works, but also the process of creating them including research, tryouts, etc. In addition, we provide two or three years of financial support to assist arts organizations in taking their activities to the next level.
Category Ⅲ [Long Term][Single Year] Creative environment
We provide up to three years of financial assistance for broader perspective activities covering the field as a whole and tackling challenges in the artistic and creative environment.
Category Ⅳ [Long Term] International film screenings
We provide two or three years of financial support for post-production of films and screenings at overseas film festivals.
